In watching McCain the last several days make the rounds of the morning talk shows as well as Letterman, I am thinking he has maybe had a bit of botox. At the very least, microdermabrasion. Perhaps he is merely basking in the glow of his recent endorsesment from Hiedi Montag - whom he called a terriffic actress and managed to say with a straight face that he never misses an episode of the Hills and is especially enjoying the new season. He also pointed out with a straight face his other celebrity endoresements: Jon Voight, Clint Eastwood, and the every politically influential Sylvester Stallone.
I also caught Tim Russert with a very scarey analysis of the electoral college results of a potential Hil/Obama vs. McCain scenario - sliced and diced a number of different ways - that lead to an electoral college stalemate of 269 to 269. Yes, you are right, it takes 270 to win. Should there be a tie, the election goes to the House, which would benefit the democratic candidate. They spent a lot of time talking about Virginia as a pivotal state as Russert has it going for McCain despite Obama's showing in the primary and the fact that Virginia has a democrat governor that has been mentioned as a VP candidate and elected Lt. Dan as senator last time. Utah, Nevada, and Colorado are pivotal as well making Romney an attractive veep for McCain.
In more diva news, Bobby Brown has gone on record saying he never did cocaine until Whitney. Celine is having trouble with her China concert series "paperwork" alledgedly because she has spoken out while in country in favor of a free Tibet. Mariah and Madonna topping Elivs on the charts and closing in on the Beatles. Madonna has had 32 songs hit number 1 in her career. Did you know that Dolly Parton has written over 3,000 songs in her career, many of them #1 hits for others? Most famously, I Will Always Love You for Whitney Houston. And we close the diva loop.
Leatherheads, Clooney's new movie opening this weekend, so far has scored some pretty tepid reviews and the trailers disappoint too. With Renee Zelwegger and John Krasinski from The Office, this should be funny but seems to suffer an identity crisis. Clooney has said that Krasinski has the potential to be the Clooney of HIS generation. As The Office is getting a spinoff this year, talk is that it will focus on the good looking unrequited love interest of Pam. I say no, it will be the dude they already moved to NY. There is no way they would break up that chemistry.
Speaking of the office, have to get back to work. Have a great day!
Anyone catch the end of Supermodel on Bravo? I missed it, but had Holly pegged as the winner the first episode I saw (I think it was the 3rd or 4th). She just had "it" all. I agree with Tyler's blog -- all 4 finalists will do well and make money. Yay Holly!
