Have you Fandango'ed your Sex and the City tix yet? I just did so, headed out at 8pm Friday night. Until then, I am embargoing reviews and spoilers, so I can see for myself just what this thing is all about. Hearing stories about women that are going in groups and dressed as their favorite characters. I don't think I have anything Carrie-worthy, so I won't be doing that. The next hottest thing on the news is Scott McClellan's book that just came out - wow, it is really wagging the tongues in the media, especially.
Over the weekend I watched the HBO movie Recount, based on the 2000 election and the Florida debacle. Highly recommended, for the performance of Denis Leary, Laura Dern, Kevin Spacey, and the always great Tom Wilkinson as James Baker. You nearly need a score card to track the action as it thankfully moves along at a good clip, and I give it a solid B. The only thing I was wishing for was more of an insider point of view form the Gore camp and the Bush camp.
My first Ipod bit the dust. They are now calling the 30G one that I had the "5th Generation" and its three years of service is about all you can expect to get from it. Sadly, I went to the local Apple store, took a seat at the genius bar, and threw myself on their mercy. They did give me a ten percent discount for recycling my old one and I am now the proud owner of a black 80G Ipod classic. I would be the owner of an Iphone if you could unlock it and use it on anything other than the AT&T network - where we live and roam it does not give you good coverage - and I seriously considered the Touch, but not enough storage space or battery time for me. Sticking with what I know how to use and what my accessories will fit. There may be a Macbook in my future.
Hope everyone had a nice long holiday weekend and a good short week ahead!
So funny - great minds think alike! I bought my SATC movie tickets today on Fandango for Friday night at 7:20. I'm going with 2 girlfriends after a round of cosmopolitans at an outside bar. While I Netflix most of my movies, I still love seeing a new movie on its opening weekend. We saw Ironman the day it opened (and LOVED it, by the way) and now SATC. I'll be anxious to compare our reactions.
