Did you catch the Tony's last night? I found it very enjoyable, and Whoopi was pretty darn funny. A highlight was seeing the original cast of Rent - I could pick out Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel but not Jesse L Martin, who I think is her significant other. Katie Holmes is starring with John Lithgow and Dianne Weist starting in October in Arthur Miller's All My Sons. As I recall, another bleak dismemberment of the so called American dream. It will be interesting to see if she has the chops to hang with two such venerable pros.
Liza Minelli looked jaw droppingly fantastic - what is up with her? One moment she looks like she is at death's door and the next - va va voom! Good to see Patti LuPone win for Gypsy nearly thirty years to the day she won for originating the role of Evita.
Already they are talking about who will take over Meet the Press and rumour has it that they are looking hard at Katie Couric. That will be it - I already quit watching the Today Show over fear I would accidentally catch a glimpse of Kathie Lee Gifford. If she goes over to MTP, my near twenty year of appointment viewing will be over. No one thinks she will take it because she would have to move to the DC area but see they forget she is a Virginia girl.
Did you know that Kate Hudson is dating Lance Armstrong? He seems now to have a type. Jamie Lynne's wedding is reportedly off, and Jennifer Aniston is still dating John Mayer. Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee are together again. Supposedly, Rocco de Spirito kinda stalking Padma after the Bravo A list awards the other night. And how was your weekend?
