Susan News

Thankfully this was finally diagnoses correctly!!! It's frightening how many women are affected by thyroid conditions that aren't properly diagnosed!
The thyroid, controlled by the pituatary gland, controls how the body burns energy, makes proteins and reacts to other hormones.
Millions of women each year develp thyroid diseases, the most common, hypo and hyper thyroidism......and never get diagnosed / treated correctly because their symptoms can seem so closely related to common stresses, overworking, etc. just as you mention above.
Every women feeling an unusual sense of fatigue, brain fog, dry skin, insomnia, or other odd symptoms should bring this up to their doctor and ask to be screened for possible thyroid conditions. Once diagnosed, it's been my understanding that most are treatable with surgery or medication.
